| Melissa joined us in July 2006. She came to us with 10 years of accounting experience, a degree in HR Management, a degree in Paralegal studies, and is in the process of obtaining her degree in Accounting. Melissa and her daughter Thea live in Wyoming, where you can find them playing with their dog and several cats, reading or walking in the neighborhood. |

Kim Jordan joined the FSC Staff in September of 2009. Kim's primary responsibility is to assist the very busy Senior Minister. Kim can be reached in the front office Monday-Friday between the hours of 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Kim is a born and raised Grand Rapids "West Sider" who enjoys reading, writing poetry, fishing, boating, gardening, and volleyball, although cooking is her biggest passion. She also loves animals and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her other responsibilities, Kim also works with church volunteers to administer the FSC website. Gail McConnell has been a member of the FSC office staff for 24 + years. She is responsible for the monthly newsletter (The Chimes), the weekly ‘Order of Service’ and ‘Weekly Notes’, as well as the weekly 'Friday Flash'. She maintains our membership database and handles all church-wide communications. She has two sons and daughters-in-law, as well as four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She enjoys reading, sewing, making porcelain dolls, and nurturing her bonsai trees. |

Lisa joins the staff at Fountain Street Church as the Social Ministry Director, coordinating church Social Mministry projects and outreach and collaborating with other entities at FSC, such as Beyond Sunday Ministries, the Social Action Committee, and the Learning Ministries. She also refers non-church members seeking personal assistance to community resources, including direct FSC assistance.
Lisa holds a Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Language and Literature from Lawrence University. Before becoming a Social Worker, Lisa enjoyed a long career as a Researcher and Information Specialist in the non-profits arena, including a job at the national headquarters of the YMCA in Chicago. Sharing a home in Kentwood with her husband and daughter, Lisa likes nothing better than puttering around in her backyard, tending to her gardens and feeding a wide assortment of critters. A student of Jungian psychology, she practices yoga daily and loves pool exercise. |

Marilyn has been on the music staff at Fountain Street Church since 2001. In addition to overseeing the entire music program at the Church, she provides organ and piano music for Worship Services and accompanies the Adult Choir for all performances, including the Annual Memorial Concert. She has directed the Adult Choir and organizes and directs other vocal and handbell groups, as needed. She also accompanies all the youth choirs. She especially appreciates the variety of musical styles which are used in worship at Fountain Street Church to touch people's hearts and souls. Marilyn holds a Masters Degree, (with honors), in Church Music, with an emphasis in Organ, from the University of Michigan. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees, (with honors), in Music Education and in German from Calvin College. A member of the Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda, she is active in the American Guild of Organists and the National Music Teachers Association. She also sings with the St. Cecilia Bach Chorale. Marilyn frequently performs and accompanies for varied venues including churches, college and community choral groups, and recitals. She has performed on organ throughout the Midwest, as well as in North Germany and Holland. She played harpsichord continuo with the Grand Rapids Symphony for several performances in Fall, 2007. Besides her church employment, Marilyn teaches a large independent studio of organ and piano students and has taught at Grand Rapids Community College and at Calvin College's Knollcrest Music Camp. |

Beyond Sunday Coordinator |

Paula Roelands has attended Fountain Street Church since childhood, and has been active in many roles in the church community, more including Character School, curriculum development, Youth Education Committee, and Beyond Sunday Shared Ministries. "My hope is to bridge connections and foster support in discovery and involvement within the membership of this wonderful and unique entity known as Fountain Street. Through passion and purpose, we can foster continued growth in the spirit of community, both within and outside the walls of our magnificient church home." She has a strong interest in community development, as "it nourishes the soul." In the community, she serves in volunteer leadership roles with parent involvement in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, (PTA, Montessori Task Force, Montessori Advisory Council, e-newsletter editor, and various development teams in past years), Fulton Heights Neighborhood Assocation, MontessoriGR, and Kent County 4-H. Paula's husband of 25 years is Peter, a pilot whom she met and married at Cannonsburg Ski area, where they currently both teach skiing part-time each winter as Certified Professional Ski Instructors. They have three children, Tyan, Pagiel, and Anika. When not snow skiing or volunteering, much of her time is claimed by her family, horses, gardening, fast-walking, and sharing a latte with a friend. |

Lydia's love for Fountain Street Church shows in her dedication to her work. She prides herself on her exceptional organizational skills. Her goal is to make every family part of the church community by offering an outstanding children's program. Lydia has worked with children for over 20 years in various settings; she is currently pursuing her master's degree and is exploring new education philosophies for children. Lydia is an avid outdoors woman, (and accomplished triathlete), who enjoys camping and riding many miles on her bike. She loves reading, and is deeply involved in exploring women's spirituality. Lydia and her husband Roger are busy raising their four girls, Christiane, Bianca, Kathleen, and Erica and tending to the many activities in which they are involved. |
