The Fountain Street Church Governing Board is elected by the congregation and leads the Church toward its mission by forming policy on governance issues and assuring the institutional integrity of the Church. Working in partnership with the Senior Minister and staff, they create the many programs and services that serve and engage the members of the FSC community.
The Board meets the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Social Hall. Except in vary rare instances, all meetings are open to the public and congregant comments are welcomed each month. The Board is comprised of 15 members, five elected each year for a renewable term of three years. One of FSC's 2013-2015 goals is to increase diversity. This goal is not an indictment of who we have been, but the recognition that we have a message and experience for all in the community who are on a similar religious journey, and that to expand our welcome to include everyone will take conscious effort.
We are very proud of the hard work that the Governing Board does, the seriousness which it takes its mission, and its willingness to tackle tough questions. The FSC Governing Board is strong, aware, and engaged. They are committed to fiscal responsibility and are working closely with the Executive Team to insure stewardship of the Church's future.
How do you, as a congregant, learn about the Church or get a question answered? Communication with, and linkage to, the congregation is one of the Board's greatest challenges. We recognize that we have shortcomings in this area and are stepping up our on-going efforts to improve. Please continue to engage us in conversation. We need your input at all times. With your support, FSC will emerge stronger and focused on the future.
The Governing Board welcomes your comments and presence at our monthly meetings. You may send an e-mail message to them at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
